Grocery Shopping in New Orleans

And now for the other shoe. Watch out! It's dropping!

After my last post of how New Orleans is such a wonderful city, i didnt want you to experience what i read in a dating book a little while ago...

"You're the most wonderful person I've ever met!"
"After only knowing her for two days, that was the scariest thing she could have ever said. I did not want to be apart of her fantasy world and I could not possibly run away fast enough!" (loosely quoted from a Henry Cloud book)

New Orleans is not perfect either. This is evidenced by the ridiculous amounts of money i spent on groceries yesterday. Granted, i'm new here and am buying up basics that i wont need to buy a month down the road, but $2.89 for a half gallon of milk seems crazy. Is it going up that high in Rochester too?

i'm missing Wegmans, fo sho.

ahh wegmans. what a wonderful place. i paid around 1.99 for a 1/2 gallon of skim milk the other day. (a full gallon was a little much as i recall)...

this may explain why milk is so expensive....

milk prices.
